Application Guidelines for admission to master's programs at the Graduate School of Engineering Science of Yokohama National University in October 2024 and April 2025

Eligibility for Special admission (Master's programs at the Graduate School of Engineering Science of Yokohama National University in October 2024 and April 2025)

Special admission can be chosen by applicants with recommendations from their home schools who satisfy requirement below.

Applicants who ranked in the top 1/3 in academic performance at their affiliated departments or their equivalents at the end of the third year of their studies. If their universities do not disclose such ranking, applicants must have scored 80 points or more in at least half of their total credits. (Applicants enrolled in specialized courses at colleges of technology will be judged based on their academic performance upon their completion.)

Eligibility (8) (Master's programs at the Graduate School of Engineering Science of Yokohama National University in October 2024 and April 2025)

Eligibility (8) is acknowledged for applicants who satisfy the following requirements:

[1] At the end of March 2024, applicants must rank in the top 5% in their affiliated departments (or have earned credits with comparable grades) or have obtained at least 80 points in at least ¾ of all earned credits.
[2] As a general rule, applicants claiming eligibility must pass all required courses and earn at least 90 credits by the end of the second year.
