Application Procedure / Application Documents
Application Procedure
First of all, applicants are required to contact their prospective supervisors prior to the application.
In addition, international students must ask them to get the provisional acceptance.
The following links provide the lists of faculty members in the graduate school. You are required to choose your supervisors who will be suitable for your research field, find their e-mail addresses on the lists, and contact them on your own. If you cannot find the e-mail addresses of your prospective supervisors, please e-mail the Graduate School of Engineering Science Section at the following address:
ses.daigakuin-eng@
* Please put up "ynu.ac.jp" after "@" in the above email addresses.
Once applicants contact your prospective supervisors and get the provisional acceptance, you should send all Application Documents by e-mail to one of the Contact Person of the Specialization they wish to enroll.
Please note that applicants must prove in “(5) Academic Performance Entry Sheet (by Excel)” that they have a grade point average of 2.30 (out of 3.00) or above.
Please note that applicants must prove in “(10) Documents that demonstrate the linguistic ability of the applicants” that they must have obtained an English language proficiency test score that is equivalent to CEFR level B2 or higher.
Applicants are not required to submit the original documents (or the certified true copies issued by public institutions such as the applicant’s university) at the time of application, the successful applicants who wishes to be recommended to MEXT must submit them during the designated submission period.
Application Documents
- (1) Application Form ( Template format )
- (2) Field of Study and Research Plan [Research Proposal] (Template format )
- (3) Copy of passport:
Submit a scanned copy of the page with their name, nationality, date of birth and photo. - (4) Academic transcript for all academic year of university attended (graduate and/or undergraduate) : Applicants are required to submit the following documents according to their academic background:
