Applications for Special Research Fellows and Special Scholarship Students
(A) For Those Planning to Enroll in the Doctoral Programs in the Graduate School in October 2025 or April 2026
Eligibility
Applicants planning to enroll in the doctoral programs in the Graduate School of Engineering Science (including international students). No restrictions based on the previous university or department or the current university or department. However, eligibility for the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Research Fellowship is required. Note that if selected as a Special Research Fellow or Special Scholarship Student of the graduate school, the applicant must commit to applying for the JSPS Research Fellowship every year. Consideration will be given to female and those who need support due to life events such as childbirth, childcare, and nursing care. Candidates who are employed, receive substantial income as MEXT or any other government- sponsored scholarship students may be disqualified through the selection process.
